To spare you and your client some time (and tears), Ryan gives you the steps to easily remove the tease while causing the least amount of pain and frustration.
- Remove the foils and rinse out the lightener.
- Add Color Post Treatment to the teased sections throughout the head.
- Towel dry the hair lightly to prevent dripping while Step 2 remains in the hair.
- Starting in the nape or the lowest section where you started your teasing. Use a wet brush or lightweight bristled brush to comb out from ends to roots from UNDERNEATH each section – not on top of the section. I repeat…not on top of the section that you are trying to detangle. Trust me.
- Repeat this pattern, section by section, brushing out the tease from bottom to top. Do not try to remove the tease from more than one section at a time, you’ll be sorry.
- Once tease is removed, rinse thoroughly and re-shampoo to prep the hair for toning or conditioner.
Ryan says, “This sounds simple enough, but some of you will forget all about Step 4. Read it again and abide by it. This is crucial to your success and believe me that it works! I hope you give this a try. Ninety-nine percent of the time it works every time. (Anchorman reference).”
