What is the most meaningful part of your role as a Hispanic artist in beauty?
The ability to teach and inform. I like to mentor and inspire personal growth. As a Hispanic artist I can teach new artists about versatility of texture, curl pattern, product choice, tension and release cutting techniques.
What is your favorite Wella, Nioxin, OPI, Clairol, Color Charm, Kadus or Sebastian product and why?
No.Breaker from Sebastian. No.Breaker is a spray on, leave in, bond building treatment created for anyone suffering from breakage due to over usage of hot tools or coloring procedures, highlighting etc. It’s instant gratification. Apply, blow dry, done.
Do you have any advice for Hispanic stylists trying to grow their career?
Continue to educate your peers on diversity. Embracing curl, embracing texture. Education breeds awareness. Utilize social media – teach a quick tip or hair hack on texture or color on Instagram!
