Black Lives Matter

At ProfessionalStore.com, together with our brands and our education platform @wellaeducation, we stand in solidarity with the Black community and are committed to being part of positive change.

The time to use our platform to amplify messages of inclusivity and diversity is overdue. As a first step, we’ve enacted the following diversity statement to live, breathe, and evolve as we learn and grow.

As salon professionals, we know diversity is beautiful. This is an industry that prides itself on community, and that includes our talented black artists and clients. Therefore, we commit ourselves to provide education that informs as well as values and celebrates diversity, equality, and inclusion of all races, gender identities, and ages.

OUR PROMISE:

We promise to promote more black hairdressers and content creators. We will consistently deliver education on textured hair, and make this a much stronger priority than we have. We know we haven’t been there as much as we should have in the past. And because of that, we know we need to do better.

We thank you for always holding us to the highest standards. This is just the beginning.

OUR CONTRIBUTION:

$250,000 will be donated to the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) on behalf of our brands: Hairdressers at Heart, Wella Professionals, Kadus, Sebastian, Nioxin, Clairol, and OPI.

We chose to support the @naacp_ldf as they are the premier non-partisan civil rights organization fighting for social justice, education, racial equality, and human rights. We stand by their mission to achieve an inclusive society.
