We all learned in beauty school that color removes color when it comes to forehead and scalp stains, but we’ve all learned there are times when even your elbow grease can’t make that stain budge.
Today’s tip on touching up a hairline with demi-permanent color is brought to you by Wella Field Signature Artist, @galini.wella. Although Galin’s using demi-permanent color in the video here, the same principles apply for all types of color. Once you’ve fully saturated the mid-lengths and ends, begin at the front hairline. Apply a little color on the tip on the comb on the side facing the hair.
Use the comb to place color at the root area, and work your way all the way all around the perimeter. This technique allows you to neatly place the color on this highly visible area of your clients, while still leaving them fully covered… for the next 4-6 weeks.
