Meet Wella Care and Color Expert Christopher Hetherington Rea
Christopher works as the Global Education Design Manager overseeing many exciting projects at our global headquarters in Switzerland. Before moving into his current role, Christopher was a Technical Educator for Wella Professionals and Sassoon Professional in London. During his varied career, Christopher worked with multiple brands and salon groups before deciding to become an independent hairdresser. This change in his career enabled him to travel internationally as a session stylist working on photographic campaigns and television. But it was his passion for education that brought him to Wella Professionals. Being part of an industry-innovator like Wella has enabled him to grow as an individual as well as a hairdresser.
In his current role as Global Education Design Manager, Christopher collaborates with Research & Development and Marketing teams to create new and exciting ways to work with the Wella Professionals portfolio of products – from designing trend collections to creating seminars for both online and in the studios.
Most recently, Christopher developed a range of new seminars for Blonde and Balayage services as well as being the global lead for Master color Expert – Wella Professionals’ highest level of color certification. When asked what he loves about his career with Wella Professionals Christopher said, “It’s the dream job I didn’t even know existed… No two days are the same, from writing video scripts and directing shoots to testing new products and collaborating with inspirational hairdressers.
